How Grade 10 Selection Works for Bomet Learners

Since 21 December 2025 the rule is 12 choices spread over C1, C2, C3 and C4. A Bomet family might pick from the county’s 5 C1 and 11 C2 schools for the top slots, then fill the rest from its 35 C3 and 243 C4 options. KJSEA counts for 60% of the placement score, with KPSEA and the Grade 7–8 school assessments at 20% each. The Ministry list does not show which pathways each Bomet school offers, so phone or visit before you rank a school. Fees at Bomet Senior Schools

For the 83% of Bomet schools that are day schools, parents pay no tuition under Gazette Notice 1449 of 2026. The 51 schools that board can charge parents at most KSh 53,554 or KSh 40,535 a year, by ceiling. The notice does not name schools, so ask for the fee structure on letterhead.
