How Grade 10 Selection Works for Busia Learners

Since 21 December 2025 the rule is 12 choices spread over C1, C2, C3 and C4. A Busia family might pick from the county’s 5 C1 and 12 C2 schools for the top slots, then fill the rest from its 19 C3 and 134 C4 options. Placement weighs KJSEA at 60%, Grades 7–8 school-based assessment at 20% and KPSEA at 20%. Because a school can only place your child in a pathway it actually runs, and the list for Busia doesn’t record pathways, check with the school directly.
