How Grade 10 Selection Works for Trans Nzoia Learners

Since 21 December 2025 the rule is 12 choices spread over C1, C2, C3 and C4. A Trans Nzoia family might pick from the county’s 3 C1 and 16 C2 schools for the top slots, then fill the rest from its 39 C3 and 184 C4 options. KJSEA counts for 60% of the placement score, with KPSEA and the Grade 7–8 school assessments at 20% each. Because a school can only place your child in a pathway it actually runs, and the list for Trans Nzoia doesn’t record pathways, check with the school directly.
