What the Pathway Report adds to the free quiz
The free pathway quiz asks ten questions and names the track your child leans towards. That is a good start, but families choosing senior schools usually need more: how close the other options are, whether report card levels back the answers up, which subject combinations to look for and which schools nearby might offer them. The Pathway Report puts all of that on one printable page set.
- All seven tracks ranked (Pure Sciences, Applied Sciences, Technical Studies, Languages and Literature, Humanities and Business Studies, Arts, Sports Science), with the answers that pushed each one up.
- A strength map from the levels you enter for each learning area (EE1 to BE2), showing which tracks each strong subject supports, with an honest flag if Mathematics needs work for STEM.
- The best-fit and runner-up pathways in detail: the core subjects every learner takes, six real combinations from the Ministry of Education list for each, the careers those tracks lead towards and what to check when you visit a school.
- Senior schools in your county from the Ministry of Education senior schools list, filtered to girls, boys or mixed schools and day or boarding places, national schools first.
- A page for the parent: questions to ask tonight and practical next steps before Grade 10 selection.
How the report is built
Your child answers the same ten questions as the free quiz (about what they enjoy, how they learn and the work they picture themselves doing). You can then add their latest Grade 8 or mock levels and choose a county. The report weighs the answers and levels across the seven tracks and draws combinations from the official list of senior school subject combinations. It is saved to your account, so you can retake it after KJSEA results or when you change your mind, and print it or save it as a PDF from your phone or computer.
What it is not
It is not a psychometric test, and it does not decide anything. Senior school placement is done by the Ministry of Education using KJSEA (60%), Grade 7 and 8 school-based assessment (20%) and KPSEA (20%), together with the learner’s choices and the places available. Our school directory does not yet record which pathways each school offers, so the report tells you to confirm combinations on the Ministry selection portal or with the school. Use the report to have a better conversation with your child and their teachers.
Questions parents ask
When should we do it?
Now is a good time: Grade 9 families will make senior school choices after KJSEA, and the conversation is easier before results day. Retake it once results are out, with the KJSEA levels.
Can I make reports for two children?
Each purchase covers one saved report. You can edit and rebuild it at any time, so print the first child’s report before building the second.
Is it included in the Monthly Pass?
Yes. The 7-day free trial and the Monthly Pass include the Pathway Report, every revision book, every holiday pack and every online paper.
