Blessed Assurance Academy (BAA) is a private, mixed day and boarding Christian school with campuses in Syokimau (behind Gateway Mall, along Airport Road) and Katani (Prideland campus, along Merryland Road) in Machakos County. It teaches the CBC curriculum from Montessori and pre-school through to Senior School. The school says it was founded by its director, Mrs Carolyn Muithya, more than a decade ago. BAA published separate 2026 fee structures for Junior School and Senior School, both dated 19 June 2026. All figures below come from those documents (Junior, Grades 7–9; Senior, Grades 10–12). On admission: Junior School: interview 1,000, admission 4,000, caution 2,000. Senior School: admission 4,000, caution 3,500.
Including the recurring charges, a continuing day learner pays about KSh 155,033 a year in Grades 7–9 and KSh 181,033 in Grade 10 (our arithmetic), before activities and transport.
Co-Curricular Activities (per Term)
Every learner must take at least one activity. Paid options cost KSh 3,000 per term each: football club and music (vocals and instruments) at both levels, plus ballet, skating, taekwondo, chess, sign language and gymnastics in Junior School. Swimming, table tennis, badminton, basketball, netball and volleyball are free. So a learner who chooses a free sport meets the requirement at no extra cost.

How to Pay
- M-Pesa paybill 222115, account 22# followed by the child’s name. Keep the confirmation SMS as proof.
- Bank transfer: Family Bank, Gateway Mall branch, account name Syokimau Blessed Assurance Academy, account 039000002027.
- No cash. Payment is by M-Pesa to the bank, bank transfer or banker’s cheque.
Discounts and Terms
- Junior School fees are due in full on or before the first day of term.
- Senior School: new students pay in full on admission. Continuing students may pay 70% by opening day and 30% by the end of the first month.
- 2% discount for paying a full term on or before opening; 6% for paying the whole year.
- 10% discount for the second and third child; the fourth child gets free transport.
- Senior School only: a 15% discount for the first 20 parents.
The school also lists its approved uniform shops: Dakayl Enterprises and Kawa Uniform on Katani Road, Nzag Enterprises in Mlolongo, and Acacia Uniform at Gateway Mall.
How It Compares
BAA is one of the more affordable private schools we have checked. Its Grade 10 boarding total (about KSh 229,233 before extras) is still more than four times the KSh 53,554 public boarding ceiling, and public junior schools charge nothing (senior school fees 2026; JSS capitation).
