It runs a Kindergarten, a Prep School, a Senior School and a Sixth Form and BTEC College offering A-levels, and the school says 28 nationalities are represented. | Years 12 and 13 (two billings) | 651,000 | 651,000 | – | 1,302,000 |
Years 11, 12 and 13 are billed twice a year, in September and January, instead of three times. Every other class pays the same amount each term. We checked every annual figure against three (or two) times the term figure, and all of them add up.
The steepest single jump is from Kindergarten 3 to Year 1, an extra KSh 92,000 a term. From Year 7 to Year 10 the increase is small (KSh 18,000 a term), so the Senior School years cost much the same.

A First-Year Example
A new Year 7 student with lunch and Zone 2 return transport would pay 3 × (387,000 + 33,000 + 62,700) = 1,448,100, plus 15,000 registration, 4,000 testing and 4,000 PTA = KSh 1,471,100 for 2026/27, before uniform, trips and exam fees. This is our arithmetic.
How It Compares
Rusinga sits well below its Gitanga Road neighbour Braeburn, where Years 3–6 tuition is KSh 750,000 a term against Rusinga’s KSh 326,000. It is still many times the cost of a Kenyan public school: a public boarding senior school is capped at KSh 53,554 a year (senior school fees 2026).
