Question counts follow KNEC specimen papers; times follow the 2026 KNEC timetable. Every question has four options, A to D.
Parents search for “KPSEA past papers with answers pdf” by the thousand every October.
About these papers
Here is what is really available, where to find official material legally, and an original KPSEA-format practice paper your child can sit online right now, marked instantly with worked answers.
What Official KPSEA Papers Exist?
KPSEA has been sat four times, in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. KNEC owns those papers and does not publish them for free public download. What KNEC does provide is:
- Sample papers and assessment tools, uploaded to the KNEC CBA portal for schools. Ask your child’s class teacher for them; schools are meant to use them for practice.
- The timetable and instructions on the KNEC website.
Files online labelled “KPSEA past papers 2024” or “KPSEA prediction papers 2026” are usually mocks written by schools or publishers. Use them if you have them, but check the marking schemes, which are often wrong, and never pay for “leaked” papers: KPSEA papers are not leaked, and these offers are scams.

Getting The Most From Practice Papers
Because every KPSEA question is multiple choice, children are tempted to guess fast. The wrong options are built around common mistakes, so fast guessing usually lands on a trap. Teach your child to work each question out on the question paper first, then match the answer to an option. If their answer isn’t there, they should recheck rather than pick the nearest one.
Sit papers in the real time. Mathematics allows about two and a half minutes a question, Integrated Science about two. If a question takes much longer, mark it and come back at the end, because every question carries the same mark. After marking, go through the worked answers together and keep a list of weak topics to revise, using the Grade 6 CBC Challenge for short daily practice.
The Week Before KPSEA
Stop heavy revision two days before the first paper. Pack two sharpened HB pencils, a rubber and a sharpener the night before, and make sure your child knows they must be seated 15 minutes before 8.30 a.m. Tuesday is the longest day, with Integrated Science followed by Kiswahili, so a proper breakfast matters. Remind them that the time printed on the paper includes reading time and that no extra time is given.
