Nova Pioneer runs separate boys’ and girls’ secondary campuses at Tatu City, the new town off the Thika Road–Ruiru corridor in Kiambu County. They teach CBE junior school (Grades 7–9), senior school (Grades 10–11) and the final 8-4-4 Form 4 class. Their 2027 School Fees Schedules were published on 10 September 2026 (boys) and 8 September 2026 (girls), and are linked from Nova Pioneer’s fees page. Every tuition total adds up. The steepest climb is Grade 7 to Grade 8, at KSh 19,000 a term more. Weekly boarding and day places are offered for Grades 7–11 only. The sheets say that families who joined Nova Pioneer as founding students in 2018 or 2019 keep a 16% or 10% tuition discount respectively.

The weekly boarding fee for Grade 11 is KSh 300 a term higher than for other grades, on both sheets. The sheets do not explain why.
The PTA Difference Between Boys and Girls
- Boys’ campus: KSh 3,000 a year, billed once. It is in Term 2 for Grades 7 and 10 and in Term 1 for the other grades. In the Grade 11 weekly-boarding table, the PTA row shows 0 in the yearly columns, although the KSh 790,800 total includes it.
- Girls’ campus: KSh 1,250 every term (KSh 3,750 a year), plus a one-off KSh 100 PTA registration fee.

These are the schedules’ own totals, including PTA. We checked each one. Paying a Grade 7 boy’s boarding year in advance by 30 December 2026 costs KSh 636,690, a saving of KSh 70,410. The advance column is labelled as a 10% discount on tuition, but it takes 10% off boarding and meals too.
Other Costs, KSh
- New students: caution fee 10,000 (the boys’ sheet says existing students must top theirs up to 10,000), enrolment fee 5,000 (not charged again when moving between Nova Pioneer campuses), student ID 1,000.
- All students: administration fee 1,040 a year. Clubs and sports fees of 1,500 each (per term at the girls’ campus; boys’ sheet lists club and sports admin fees of 1,500). Class parties 800 a term. Junior school diary 1,000.
- Exam years: Form 4 academic support 7,500 a term, Grade 11 pre-candidate support 5,000, Grade 9 booster or Motisha programme 4,500, Grade 9 and Form 4 graduation 4,000 each, Form 4 capstone 10,000.
- Girls’ campus also lists a house T-shirt fee of 1,000 a year. Opt-in vendor clubs and sports cost 8,900–12,000, and the boys’ Fahiri soccer academy costs 11,000–18,000.

Living inside Tatu City makes a big difference. Two-way transport costs KSh 25,200 a year there, against KSh 150,300 from a Zone 4 estate. A Grade 7 day boy from Ruaka would pay about KSh 694,800 a year with transport, nearly as much as a full boarder. That is our arithmetic.
Deadlines and How to Pay
- Term 1 by 2 January 2027, Term 2 by 22 April 2027, Term 3 by 19 August 2027. Annual option by 30 December 2026. Form 4 must clear Term 3 in full before reporting.

How It Compares
Tatu City tuition is KSh 31,600 a term above Nova Pioneer Eldoret for Grade 7, and full boarding is KSh 16,800 a term dearer. Nova Pioneer’s Athi River campus charges the same Grade 7 tuition (KSh 156,200) as a day school. Public junior schools charge no tuition, and public boarding senior schools may charge at most KSh 53,554 a year (government senior school fees). More schools are on the fees hub.
