Nova Pioneer Athi River is the private Nova Pioneer group’s CBE (CBC) day campus at Athi River, Machakos County. Its 2027 sheet runs from Playgroup to Grade 10. We checked every row, and all the totals add up. Meals are the same KSh 24,300 a term at every level, from Playgroup to Grade 10, and are listed as a separate line rather than built into tuition.
Tuition climbs at almost every stage. The biggest steps are into Grade 3 (+KSh 23,000 a term), into Grade 8 (+KSh 19,000) and into Grade 5 (+KSh 16,900). Families who joined as founding students in 2018 or 2019 keep a 13% or 4.5% tuition discount.
The “paid in advance” column is labelled as a 10% discount on tuition. In fact it also takes 10% off meals. Paying by 30 December 2026 saves KSh 40,050 on a Grade 1 year and KSh 64,710 on Grade 10.

Unlike many private schools, the compulsory extras here are small: about KSh 5,040 a year in PTA, admin and trip fees.

Two First-Year Examples
A new Grade 1 child from Syokimau (Zone 3C, two way): 400,500 tuition and meals + 10,000 caution + 5,000 enrolment + 1,040 admin + 1,500 PTA + 2,500 trip + 119,100 transport = KSh 539,640.
A new Grade 7 learner from Kitengela (Zone 4A, two way): 541,500 + 10,000 + 5,000 + 1,040 + 1,500 + 2,500 + 126,000 = KSh 687,540. Both are our arithmetic using the termly option, before uniform, books and clubs.

- Term 1 by 2 January 2027, Term 2 by 22 April 2027, Term 3 by 19 August 2027. Annual option by 30 December 2026.

How It Compares
Athi River’s Grade 7 to Grade 10 tuition is exactly the same as at Nova Pioneer Tatu City, so the day-school bills match at those grades. Families in the same corridor can compare Blessed Assurance Academy in Syokimau and Lukenya Boys. Public junior schools charge no tuition, and public day senior schools charge KSh 0 (JSS capitation, senior school fees). More schools are on the fees hub.
