Dawamu Secondary Leadership School for Boys is a private boys’ school on Pipeline Road (Kiserian–Isinya), about 13 km from Kiserian town in Kajiado County. It offers the CBC/CBE curriculum in a Junior School (Grades 7–9) and a Senior School (Grades 10–12), and in 2026 it still teaches the last 8-4-4 classes (Forms 3 and 4). The school publishes two separate 2026 fee structures on its admissions page: one for the Junior School (PDF) and one for the Senior School (PDF). Every figure below comes from those two documents. This page is accurate as of October 2026.

On this page
  1. Junior School Fees 2026 (Grades 7, 8 and 9), KSh
  2. Senior School Fees 2026 (Grade 10, Form 3 and Form 4), KSh
  3. One-Off Charges for New Students, KSh
  4. Optional Programmes (per Term), KSh

Total as published (boarder)127,000109,000109,000

The published totals include the KSh 30,000 boarding line, so they are the boarder’s bill. We added the lines ourselves and they match. A day scholar does not pay boarding, which gives KSh 97,000 in Term 1 and KSh 79,000 in Terms 2 and 3. That is our arithmetic, not a figure printed by the school. A class overnight trip is listed for Term 2 with the cost “TBC”.

Over a year, a Junior School boarder pays KSh 345,000 and a day scholar KSh 255,000 in termly fees.

Senior School Fees 2026 (Grade 10, Form 3 and Form 4), KSh

Total as published (boarder)147,000129,000129,000

The same fee applies to Grade 10 and to Forms 3 and 4. A Senior School boarder pays KSh 405,000 a year in termly fees. A day scholar, without the boarding line, pays KSh 117,000 in Term 1 and KSh 99,000 in Terms 2 and 3, or KSh 315,000 a year (our arithmetic). Medical costs again apply only when the student uses the clinic.

One-Off Charges for New Students, KSh

ItemNew joinersContinuing from Dawamu Junior School
Admission fee10,0000
Caution fee (refundable on clearance)10,0000
Student ID (KSh 500 to replace if lost)500500
Bedding (every 3 years)12,50012,500
Total33,00013,000

The same table appears on both documents. A boy who moves from Dawamu’s Junior School into its Senior School pays KSh 20,000 less on entry than a newcomer. The bedding charge is listed for every new student; ask whether day scholars pay it.

Optional Programmes (per Term), KSh

Both documents list the same “value added” programmes, charged on top of the termly fee: ICT 12,000; TTA Soccer Academy 15,000; STEM 7,000; Auto Club 10,000; Culinary Arts 12,000; Aviation 15,000; and Media and Digital Marketing 10,000. Two programmes can add KSh 20,000–30,000 a term, so decide early what your son will take.

Payment Terms

  • 70% on opening day and the balance within 30 days. For Junior School candidate classes, 100% is due on opening in Term 3. A gate pass is needed to enter the school.
  • No cash and no personal cheques. Banker’s cheques and cash deposits should be made out to Dawamu Academy Limited.
  • Money paid for fees and trips is not refundable or transferable.
  • One term’s notice is required for a transfer, or one term’s fee is payable in lieu of notice.
  • Junior School only: a surcharge of KSh 3,500 per trip if the school drops a learner home for fee default.
  • Proof of payment can be brought to school or emailed to accounts@dawamu.ac.ke.

The documents list three banks, all with the admission number as the reference: Equity Bank, Parliament Road branch (account 0350299865617; M-Pesa paybill 4027579); ABSA Bank, ABC branch (account 2046072912; paybill 4117919); and Family Bank, Lap Trust branch (account 015000011504). Confirm the account with the school before a large transfer.

A First-Year Example

A new Grade 10 boarder joining from another school would pay KSh 405,000 in termly fees plus KSh 33,000 in one-off charges: KSh 438,000 before uniform, pocket money and any optional programme. A new Grade 7 boarder would pay KSh 345,000 + 33,000 = KSh 378,000. These totals are our arithmetic from the published figures.

How It Compares With Public Schools

A public boarding senior school may charge parents at most KSh 53,554 a year under Gazette Notice No. 1449 of 2026, and a public day senior school charges no tuition (see senior school fees 2026). Public junior schools are funded through government capitation (JSS fees and capitation). Dawamu’s Senior School boarding fee is about 7.5 times the public boarding cap. Compare it with Lukenya Boys, another private boys’ boarding school south of Nairobi, and with Naisula School in the same county. For the wider picture, see private CBC school fees, boarding vs day costs and the fees hub.
