Light Academy Nairobi is a private day and boarding secondary school in Karen, off Lang’ata Road. It is part of the Light Group of Schools, which also runs Light Academy Mombasa. It teaches CBE Junior and Senior School alongside the last 8-4-4 classes (Forms 3 and 4). Its 2026 fee structure is one of the most detailed published by any Kenyan school, splitting each class’s fee into tuition, boarding or lunch, online subscriptions and clubs. Figures below come from the school’s document (LA Nairobi 2026 fee structure, PDF). This page is accurate as of October 2026.

How It Compares

The gazetted maximum for a public boarding senior school is KSh 53,554 a year, and public day and junior schools charge parents nothing (senior school fees 2026). Light Academy Nairobi sits at the top of the private range in our private CBC school fees comparison. For the sister school’s fees, see Light Academy Mombasa fees structure 2026.
