Riara Springs Girls’ High School is the girls’ boarding secondary school of the Riara Group of Schools in Nairobi. In 2026 it teaches two different systems side by side. The CBC Grade 10 class has its own fee sheet, which we cover in Riara Springs Girls’ Boarding Senior School fees. This page covers the separate sheet for Form 3 and Form 4, the last two 8-4-4 classes. The sheet states that the fees are “inclusive of boarding fees”. It does not list what else the termly fee covers. Riara’s CBC sheets spell out lunch, textbooks and activities, but this one does not, so ask about books, revision materials and KCSE costs before you pay.
Form Four costs KSh 30,800 a term more than Form Three. The sheet does not say why, so ask what the extra covers, for example revision programmes or exam preparation. The yearly figures assume three full terms. Ask how the school bills Term 3 for Form Four candidates, who sit KCSE during that term.
Where These Classes Fit
The 8-4-4 system is ending. The last KCPE was in 2023, so those candidates joined Form 1 in 2024 and are in Form 3 in 2026. They will be the last class to sit KCSE, in 2027. The students in Form 4 in 2026 sit KCSE in late 2026. So this sheet will soon disappear. Expect a single Form 4 fee for 2027 and then only CBC grades. Families joining now are usually transferring mid-course, which is rare in the last two years, so speak to the school about places first.

The uniform set is KSh 10,000, against KSh 23,000 on the Grade 10 sheet, which also includes T-shirts and tracksuits. A non-refundable reservation fee of KSh 50,000 is payable on confirmation of admission and is credited towards fees, so it is part of the first term’s payment, not an extra.
A Worked Example: Joining Form 3
A girl joining Form 3 in 2026 would pay 753,600 in fees for the year + 2,100 application + 4,000 registration + 20,000 caution + 2,000 PTA + 2,000 accident cover + 10,000 uniform items = KSh 793,700, before personal items, shopping, travel and pocket money. This is our arithmetic. The KSh 50,000 reservation fee is part of the 753,600, not on top of it.
How to Pay and Terms
- M-Pesa paybill 805700, account: the student’s admission number. Or bank deposit to The Riara Group of Schools Limited: KCB 1118056418 (Prestige), ABSA 094-2388683 (Queensway House), Standard Chartered 0102023481300 (Kenyatta Avenue) or NCBA 1306770224 (Junction).
- Email the pay-in slip to fees@riaraschools.ac.ke for a receipt. The office accepts no cash.
- Fees are due in full on or before the first day of term. Any balance unpaid 30 days into the term attracts 3% interest a month. Fees once paid are non-refundable.
- Caution money is refunded once the student completes her final year. On early withdrawal it is refunded only with one term’s written notice and after deductions for lost property and balances.
How It Compares
Riara’s Form 3 fee is KSh 6,200 a term above its Grade 10 fee of KSh 245,000. Form 4 is KSh 37,000 above it. A public boarding school may charge parents at most KSh 53,554 a year under the government fee guidelines, so a Form 4 year here costs about 16 times that ceiling (government school fees 2026).
