The Riara Group of Schools publishes a separate fee sheet for each of its Nairobi schools: two kindergarten-and-primary schools, two junior schools, a girls’ boarding senior school, a girls’ high school for the last 8-4-4 classes and a British-curriculum international school. Parents searching for “Riara group of schools fee structure 2026” usually want the whole ladder in one place, from Playgroup to Grade 10. This page lines up every Riara fee sheet we have read, with links to the detailed page for each school.
All figures come from the PDFs on the group’s official fees and payments page, which we checked again on 26 October 2026. The CBC sheets are for the 2026 calendar year and are dated October 2025; the international school’s sheet covers September 2026 to July 2027. Amounts are in Kenya shillings per term.

The Riara CBC Ladder, Playgroup to Grade 10

The two kindergarten-and-primary schools charge identical tuition, and so do the two junior schools. What differs between the Riara Road and Riara Springs (Imara Daima side) sites is the PTA subscription, KSh 1,300 or KSh 1,500 a year, and above all the bus zones, because each school counts its transport zones outwards from its own gate.
Riara also lists a Reception class between Playgroup and PP1, which is not a standard CBC level. Ask admissions which age it is meant for before you assume your child needs it.
Where the Big Jumps Are
- Playgroup to Reception: +KSh 31,200 a term, the steepest step in the kindergarten.
- Grade 6 to Grade 7: +KSh 20,500 a term. Unlike many private schools, Riara then raises the fee again in Grades 8 and 9, so Grade 9 costs KSh 9,500 a term more than Grade 7.
- Grade 9 to Grade 10: +KSh 83,900 a term, but the Grade 10 fee includes boarding. The Riara Springs Girls’ Senior School 2026 fee structure lists Grade 10 at KSh 245,000 a term, “inclusive of boarding fees”.
Riara Springs Girls’ is a girls’ school, and it is the only CBC senior school on the group’s fee page. Parents of boys finishing Grade 9 at Riara should ask admissions early what the group offers them for Grade 10, and line up other choices in the meantime.
What the Fee Covers at Riara’s CBC Schools
Riara is unusually clear about inclusions. On the kindergarten, primary and junior sheets, the termly fee covers tuition, lunch, textbooks, exercise books, French, computer lessons, sports, swimming, and coding and robotics. The Riara Junior School 2026 fee structure spells this out, and lists musical instruments, horse riding, GP karting, karate and chess as optional extras. When you compare Riara with a school whose fee looks lower, check whether that school charges books and lunch separately.
Riara International School (British Curriculum)
Riara’s international school runs on an academic year from September to July. Selected rows from its Riara International School fee structure 2026/2027:

The international fee includes tuition, lunch and exercise books only. Textbooks, French, swimming and coding are not listed as included, and workbooks, external exams and trips are charged on top. The reservation fee is non-refundable but counts towards the first term’s fees, so it is an advance rather than an extra cost. Every Riara school also charges KSh 2,000 a year for student accident cover and ambulance. Fees are paid through M-Pesa paybill 805700 with the learner’s admission number, or to the group’s bank accounts listed on the fees page. Balances unpaid 30 days into a term attract 3% interest a month, which adds up quickly, so plan payment dates early.
The Whole Journey at 2026 Prices
A child who starts at Playgroup, skips Reception and stays at Riara through Grade 10 would pay about KSh 5.11 million in tuition at 2026 prices, before transport and extras. This is our arithmetic, and the real figure will be higher, because Riara says its fees are “customarily reviewed annually”.
How Riara Compares
Riara’s 2026 Grade 7 fee of KSh 151,600 a term is almost exactly the same as Makini Junior School Runda’s 2027 fee of KSh 151,554, and both include lunch and swimming. Against public schools, the gap is wide: a public boarding senior school may charge at most KSh 53,554 a year under Gazette Notice No. 1449 of 2026, while a Grade 10 year at Riara Springs Girls’ costs KSh 735,000, about 14 times as much.
What to Watch for in 2027
As of 26 October 2026, Riara’s fees page still shows the 2026 CBC sheets. Makini posted its 2027 fees in October, so Riara’s 2027 sheets may follow before the January intake. Until then, budget on the 2026 figures plus a margin for the annual review.
