Grades 4–6: what your child will do
- Spot AI at home: tell apart machines that follow rules from ones that learn.
- Teach a computer: train a simple picture-sorting model with a free tool and see it learn.
- Talk to AI safely: ask good questions, spot wrong answers, keep personal details private.
- AI storyteller: make an illustrated story with a parent, and say what the AI did vs. what you did.
- Show-and-tell project: present an “AI helper for my home” idea to the family.
Grades 7–9: what your child will do
- How AI learns: data, patterns and predictions, with a hands-on training game.
- Build a classifier: train an image or sound model with a free tool and test where it fails.
- Prompting for study: use chatbots to explain and quiz, not to copy, and fact-check the answers.
- AI and fairness: why AI can be biased, fake images, and staying safe online.
- Mini project: design an AI idea that solves a real problem in their community, and pitch it.
- Showcase: share the finished project with family.
