The five tiers

Tiers grow with the number of 10-question quizzes completed. Up to 10 quizzes a day count, so steady practice beats cramming.

  1. Chipukizi (sprout) from 1 quiz
  2. Mwanafunzi Hodari (keen learner) from 5 quizzes
  3. Shujaa (hero) from 15 quizzes
  4. Simba (lion) from 35 quizzes
  5. Bingwa (champion) from 75 quizzes

How the boards work

  • Each learner's best score on each grade and subject counts. Retrying can only help, never hurt.
  • Topic practice sets and quizzes finished in under a minute do not count.
  • A board appears once at least 10 learners are on it. Weekly boards restart every Monday (Kenya time).
  • County boards show averages only, never individual learners. There are no school boards.

Only a nickname, tier and score are ever shown. We never ask for a real name, photo, school or phone number to join. For learners under 18, a parent or guardian must agree before joining. Use a nickname, never a real name. Guests get a secret learner code that proves the nickname is theirs. Keep it safe, because the nickname alone does not open the profile. Nicknames are kept for 12 months after the last quiz, and a parent can delete a profile at any time below.
