Updated November 2026. These KCSE 2026 Physics Paper 1 (232/1) predicted questions are built from past-paper trends: we ranked the topics that past KCSE Physics Paper 1 papers test most often, then wrote original practice questions on them. They are not leaked, official or guaranteed questions, and this site is not linked to KNEC or KICD. Use them to practise the areas most likely to appear, alongside your full syllabus revision.
KCSE Physics 232/1 prediction: most commonly tested topics
The ranking below comes from the topic coverage of past KCSE papers, as summarised in our paper guides. It is a ranking, not an exact count: exam papers change every year.
| Rank | Topic | How it is usually tested |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Linear motion and Newton’s laws | Equations of motion, velocity-time graphs, F = ma |
| 2 | Momentum | Conservation of momentum and impulse |
| 3 | Work, energy, power and machines | Efficiency, mechanical advantage, velocity ratio |
| 4 | Pressure | Liquid pressure, atmospheric pressure, hydraulic machines |
| 5 | Moments and equilibrium | Principle of moments, centre of gravity, stability |
| 6 | Heat and gas laws | Specific heat capacity, latent heat, Boyle’s, Charles’ and pressure laws |
| 7 | Measurement and density | Micrometer and vernier readings, density, relative density |
| 8 | Circular motion | Centripetal force and its uses |
Free sample: 3 KCSE 2026 Physics Paper 1 predicted questions
Q1. A car accelerates uniformly from rest to 20 m/s in 5 s. Find its acceleration and the distance covered.
Marking scheme
a = 20/5 = 4 m/s². s = ½ × 4 × 5² = 50 m.
Q2. A pulley system has velocity ratio 4 and lifts a 400 N load with an effort of 125 N. Find its efficiency.
Marking scheme
MA = 400/125 = 3.2. Efficiency = 3.2/4 × 100 = 80%.
Q3. A gas occupies 200 cm³ at 27°C. Find its volume at 127°C at constant pressure.
Marking scheme
V₂ = 200 × 400/300 ≈ 266.7 cm³ (Charles’ law, using kelvin).

Frequently asked questions
Are these the real KCSE 2026 Physics Paper 1 questions?
No. Nobody outside KNEC knows the real questions, and any site claiming a leak is lying or breaking the law. These are original practice questions written by the CBC Guide team, predicted from the topics past KCSE papers test most often.
Which topics come up most in KCSE Physics Paper 1 (232/1)?
The most commonly tested areas in past papers are Linear motion and Newton’s laws, Momentum, Work, energy, power and machines, Pressure. The full ranked list is in the table above.
How do I get the full set of predicted questions?
The first 3 questions are free. The remaining 16, each with a marking scheme, unlock with the KSh 20 Day Pass or the KSh 500 Monthly Pass, paid by M-Pesa. The passes do not auto-renew.
How should I use predicted questions in the last days before the exam?
Answer each question under time, mark it with the scheme, then go back to your notes for any topic you got wrong. Do not skip topics that are not on this list, because KNEC can test any part of the syllabus.
