How to answer Kiswahili Paper 3 for marks

1. Soma maagizo: swali la lazima kwanza.
2. Kila hoja ielezwe kisha itolewe mfano kutoka kitabu.
3. Katika ushairi, eleza umbo kwa vipengele: beti, mishororo, vina, mizani.
4. Read every question twice and underline the command word (state, explain, describe, calculate).
5. Budget time by marks: roughly one minute per mark, plus checking time.

Answer: Huanza na fomula ya kuanzia kama ‘Paukwa, pakawa’ na huwa na funzo; wahusika wanaweza kuwa wanyama wanaozungumza.

Eleza maana ya ‘mizani’ katika shairi.

Answer: Idadi ya silabi katika kila mshororo.

Question 3

Eleza muktadha wa dondoo.

Answer: Taja msemaji, msemewa, mahali na sababu ya kauli hiyo.

Question 4

Taja aina mbili za nyimbo katika fasihi simulizi.

Answer: Bembea (za kubembeleza watoto) na tohara (za jando).

Question 5

Tofautisha methali na nahau.

Answer: Methali ni kauli fupi yenye funzo kamili; nahau ni kifungu chenye maana isiyo ya moja kwa moja, kama ‘piga chafya’.

On the day of Kiswahili Paper 3

Monday 9 November 2026, 2.00 to 4.30 pm. Be seated 15 minutes early. Carry blue or black pens, a pencil, a ruler and a rubber. Read the whole paper in the first five minutes and mark the questions you will answer first. Leave the last ten minutes to check your answers and that your index number is on every page you hand in.
