Gift a Revision Pass to a Child in Kenya

Gift a Pass lets you buy a CBC Guides revision pass for a specific child in Kenya, from anywhere, and send them a code. You pay with M-Pesa or a card (including cards from abroad). We email you a gift code and a printable gift card. The child, or their parent, enters the code on a free account and the pass starts that day.

It suits aunties, uncles, godparents, grandparents and relatives in the diaspora who want to help a child revise without sending cash.

The pass starts when the code is redeemed, not when you buy it, so you can buy early and give it on the day.

When people give a pass

Christmas and the long holiday

The November to January break is long. A Monthly Pass with the holiday packs gives a child a set of revision to work through before the new school year, and parents can see the scores.

Birthdays

A pass is a useful present for a child who already has enough toys. Add a short message and it prints on the gift card.

Before exams

For learners sitting KPSEA, KJSEA or KCSE, a Weekly Pass in the last week gives unlimited timed practice and a national ranking. See the exams hub and exam countdown.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy a gift pass from outside Kenya?

Yes. Paystack accepts Visa and Mastercard cards issued abroad, and the price is charged in Kenyan shillings. Your bank converts it.

When does the gift pass start?

On the day the code is redeemed. Buying early does not use up any days.

Does the child need an account?

Yes, a free account. The parent can create it in a minute, then enter the code on the redeem page.

What if the code is lost?

The code is in the email we send to the buyer, and the gift card link can be opened again from that email.

Can I pay for a child I do not know?

Yes. If you want to fund children in need rather than one named child, see sponsor a learner.
