Makini School Migosi is the private Makini group’s early-years campus in Migosi, Kisumu. Its 2027 sheet covers Playgroup, Pre-Primary 1 and 2, and Grade 1, which makes it one of the lowest-priced Makini fee sheets we have read. Makini posted its 2027 fee structures on its fees page in October 2026. All figures come from the Makini School Migosi fee structure 2027 (PDF) and the Migosi campus 2026 transport sheet (PDF). The preschool totals add up exactly. The Grade 1 total is KSh 1 above three times the termly fee (3 × 47,268 is 141,804), a rounding difference. Fees rise gently. PP2 costs KSh 3,719 a term more than Playgroup, and Grade 1 a further KSh 1,948. That is unusual. Most Nairobi schools we have checked add a large step when a child starts Grade 1.
The sheet lists only Grade 1 under “Primary”. Makini’s Kisumu City primary sheet begins at Grade 2, so the two campuses seem to fit together, with Migosi teaching up to Grade 1. Ask Admissions to confirm where your child will go for Grade 2 and whether moving campus brings any new joining fees.
Tuition is stated to include lunch, tea break, computer, games and swimming, and chess, the same wording as Makini’s other campuses.

For a Playgroup child, the KSh 18,260 in joining charges is about 15% of a year’s tuition, and the termly extras add KSh 8,550 a year. Budget for both in the first term.

The prices per zone match the Kisumu City campus, but the estates are grouped differently because the routes start at Migosi. Chulaimbo appears in both Zone 6 and Zone 7, so confirm your pick-up point. Transport requires an approved form from the transport office (+254 741 918 054). Makini has not yet posted 2027 transport rates.
Discounts and How to Pay
- Annual discount: 5% for paying the year in advance, about KSh 6,240 on Playgroup tuition.
- Sibling discount: 5% off tuition from the fourth child, on the youngest sibling’s fee.
- Pay to The Makini School Limited, Absa Bank Kenya, Hurlingham branch, account 0451200518, or M-Pesa paybill 932271. Use the child’s file number as the reference.
- Fees are due on the first day of each term. Accounts: 0719 232 887.
A First-Year Example
A new Playgroup child living in Migosi (Zone 1, two way) in 2027 would pay 124,803 tuition + 2,040 application + 2,720 registration + 13,500 refundable deposit + 8,550 PTA, activity and insurance + 500 diary + 41,916 transport = KSh 194,029, before uniform. This is our arithmetic, at 2026 transport rates.
How It Compares
Playgroup at Migosi costs KSh 41,601 a term. At Makini Preschool Ngong Road it costs KSh 98,683, about 2.4 times as much, with the same listed inclusions. Makini’s Statehouse Junior Academy charges KSh 81,673. Public pre-primary (PP1 and PP2) is attached to public primary schools and charges no tuition, but it seldom includes lunch, swimming or transport.
